Just A Thought or Two

While pondering the things of the universe, I was interrupted, by the new personal ring tone on the new house phone, which by that it lets me know that a relative or friend is calling.
Clever this phone is.
For the past two weeks the house and me and himself have been allowing the quiet, to just flow through us.
I walk through very quietly trying not to disturb, the peace.
Our last house guest have now moved into their own nest, and finding twigs of their own, they are happy, and we are too.
Time has seemed more valuable than ever, and I try to not waste a moment of it.
Though, I have been with a bit of a cold and scratchy throat for the last week, I am on the mend I think.
Our evenings have been fixing a nice dinner, and afterwards having a cup of coffee, and watching a nightly episode of Monarch Of The Glen, such lovely friends to have for company in the evening.
Then we retire to our bedroom, and talk for awhile, and snuggle deep under the covers, as we turn the heat very low at night.
We are still with an abundance of snow drifts, and icicles.
During the day, I walk about with a heavy sweater and warm boots, and feel quiet comfy in the winter wardrobe.
I used to be impatient wanting winter to be gone, but now, I savor its beauty, and enjoy the beautiful white canvas, dotted here and there with evergreens.
In the past few weeks I have also tackled things long overdue in cleaning, and sorting.
I now have a project room.
Its a lovely place, where old photo's and old letters and cards seem to come to life when viewed or read.

A place where gift wrapping can be done with some room, and where sewing seems to be a pleasant change of place.
Where, books can be laying about, and the large picture window to dream from.
It is a nice room, and I am grateful to have it.
: )
